Music making can be fun, it is a great way to develop the mind and body co-ordination, inspire creativity, and is scientifically proven to be academically enhancing.
Playing music also relieves stress and stimulates the development of emotional intelligence.
Premier Music Institute (PMI) is an international boutique private music school located in the leafy, residential Buda side (11th district Sasad) of Budapest, Hungary where we welcome both children (school age children from ca. 6/7 years of age) and adults from complete beginners to advanced levels.
- PMI currently offers individual tuition on voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, harp, drums/percussion, violin and even solfege/music theory.
- We have high quality instruments at our disposal which are constantly maintained.
- For those who have more serious ambitions with music making the institute is able to provide the internationally recognised British music examination - ABRSM music exams.
- It is not mandatory to learn music theory/solfege at PMI, however it is possible to learn music theory with us as well and prepare for exams (ABRSM). Students learn the basics of solfege/music theory through their chosen instruments.
- All of our teachers are highly qualified (Master degree) and speak advanced or proficient levels of English whilst utilising 21st Century, Western teaching methods.
- The students can study many styles of music all the way from classical to pop/rock and perform in two student concerts during the study year. The end of year concert is traditionally held at a prestigious concert hall in Budapest.
- We are also offering online music lessons, so you can join us even if you live far away.
- Many of our younger students come to us from some of the best schools and universities.
